Recently some of the children in Ms. Brennan’s and Ms. Clinton’s class paid a visit to the hens. They were very excited to see that our hens had been busy laying eggs and found lots of eggs to collect from the chicken coop. The chickens continue to be very popular with the children. They love visiting them in the morning to say hello and check for eggs!
St. Kilian’s N.S. entered two teams in the recent annual Link Credit Union Quiz. Over 30 teams from local primary schools took part in the event, which was held in Kingscourt Community Centre. Our U-13 team finished a very respectable sixth place in their section. Our U-11 team won their section outright and now go on to represent Link Credit Union at the Regional/Chapter round quiz in March. Our U-11 team members were Evie Oates, Megan White, Dean O’Reilly and Jack Teelin. Well done to all involved.

Our hens Mini, Beatrice, Hetti and Patsey are settling nicely and are even starting to produce for us. The children love visiting them every morning and our children in 5th and 6th Class take excellent care of them daily. Thank you to the families who look after them at weekends.
